Key Responsibilities of the Global Safety and Security Special Event Manager (SEM):

  • Oversee security operations and manage staff training.
  • Coordinate travel security risk assessments, analysis, and response plans.
  • Manage budgets and ensure emergency preparedness.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with law enforcement to manage security emergencies, incidents, and investigations.
  • Work closely with event planners to assess and determine security needs.

Personnel Safety and Security Training and Information Sharing:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver individual and group safety and security tracking systems.
  • Organize and present targeted training and briefings for audiences of varying sizes.
  • Mentor faculty and staff while coordinating with diplomatic missions.
  • Develop security and risk assessment reports for global clients regarding their travel missions.
  • Create travel documents and emphasize key aspects of security awareness programs.
  • Educate traveling personnel on potential hardships and security challenges.
  • Share lessons learned on preventive measures for global travel security issues.
  • Advise on managing individual behavior in complex security environments.
  • Provide guidance on security protocols for electronic systems, access control, video surveillance, visitor management, and behavior expectations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain security threat assessments and risk evaluations.
  • Determine deployment of security personnel and assets for global client missions.
  • Coordinate, develop, and manage executive protection teams for clients’ missions and senior officials.
  • Supervise the Fire and Life Safety Program, including on-site medical response teams, hazardous materials response teams, and other safety response units.
  • Assist clients with global security travel clearance and coordinate travel document arrangements.
